2 shell less eggs in 10 mins

Yes they were very keen on red cabbage (hung or chopped) and would rip through a whole lettuce in no time if I just threw it in, they would also eat sprout cuttings, broccoli and cauliflower though they were less keen on them and I would have to leave the area so that they knew they weren't going to be getting anything better before they would eat them, this seemed to be the case whether I was giving them access to grass or not. They are all different though, I had one bird who didn't like corn and another that wasn't keen on raisins while the others would go into a frenzy over them.

I think it partly comes down to practicality too. If something needs to be torn up to eat, but is too small to stand on while ripping it up, the hens are less likely to bother. Mine will eat cabbage if I hang one up, but won't bother with sprout trimmings for example, as there's nothing to pull against. Out of curiosity, I'm mindful to hang up a sprout or two on string to see if this makes them more attractive...
I've never persuaded the girls to eat carrot tops or peelings either, though they adore spaghetti squash, especially the seeds.
