2 eggs 1 day

Hi guys!!!

First of all good news, gobbles my chook who looked ill laid her first egg and her second today her comb is now perky and White feathers are coming out on her head.

Came home from work legs (2nd of the 3) was showing all the signs of being egg bound and my partner was panicky as she had already laid an egg. then pop!!! Out pops another! It was soft shelled but held together. She is the skinny one and I am concerned that she is wearing herself out. I would rather her be heathy than lay it really worried me seeing her like that as she is one of the mist active out of the three. Any suggestions on how to help her?

She should settle down and get into a good laying routine. Young hens and old hens have most irregularities but everything in between can as well. The second egg was laid too soon (a day early) before it had the hard shell deposited. Nothing for you to do at this stage.

Cheers chuck had another this morning so that's 3 eggs in less than 24 hrs this one didn't maintain it's shape at all. She's lively wondering if she needs any suppliments?

Don't think suppliments will affect her timing. She's just learning how to lay at the moment. Give her a few weeks to settle down.

I agree. I wouldn't confuse her system at the moment by adding anything. She just needs layers pellets/mash, water and grit.
