1st egg from dutch bantam!

Hello I am new to this web site but thought I would tell you about our little dutch bantam. When I came home from work today the little lavender had laid an egg! I gave it to my friend as a gift she was most impressed!

Yes they are great I got them at a poultry auction @ Nettlestead nr to maidstone they are lavender and were very well turned out! With all the dates of hatch on the carrier provided. My friend bought a trio of beautiful D'anvers and was very pleased by the excellent quality. We hope to go back to the next auction in December.
It was also nice to see all the different type of poultry!
p s Do Dutch bantams need any special care?
