12 chicks too many?

I just wonder if 12 chicks might be too many for my (experienced pekin) broody to look after? Is there more of a risk of some not making it, or the broody getting worn out?

That it quite a few chicks to cover for a little bird isn't it, though I always think that if they are designed in such a way that they can hatch 12 then they ought to be able to keep 12 warm. Fire up the electric hen and keep an eye on them chickenfan, if any are being left behind and going cold then get them under the heat.
