    Is everyone ok?

I hadn't seen the one on the right, but I've always loved the on on the left. Similar fun to be had with Pippin no doubt!

    Boredom busters for flockdown

My father learnt to knit when I was very small. He was a better knitter than my mother; much more even tension. I still wear a cardigan he knitted for my mum about 20 years ago!

    Is everyone ok?

I quite agree BYM, the prospective owners seemed to treat him like a piece of furniture they'd ordered. We know from having seen Poppy with Marigold and her husband that Pippin will have a wonderful life.

    Frugal Tips, Hints & Recipes

I had problems with Evri for a week but then it got sorted. Royal Mail deliveries are generally OK because I'm less than a mile from the Delivery office - provided of course that the mail has reached there. The car club monthly Newsletter which I edit is posted from Malmesbury; the edition...

    Boredom busters for flockdown

I wash everything inside out as it helps preserve the colour and is likely to pick up stuff in the machine. It's the one thing I'm fairly organsied about - anything with a mark that needs stain removing spray goes in the linen basket right side out so I know to look for the problem.

    Weather

I bought some containers that have some sort of gel in them. They do work but it depends on how wet the car is inside. I took the windscreen cover off and shook the frozen snow off and let it dry. Once the windscreen was dry I put it back - it's held on with magnets and I also put the wipers...

    Weather

We have a dusting of snow here (South Shropshire) but when I went out to get somethig out of the car boot (which was frozen shut!) I left no footprints as the snow covering is completely frozen. I use a thin windscreen cover when frost is forecast which works well but the car, being 23 years...

    Hedgehog

As an introduced species that's reasonable but they are native to England, declining in numbers and are protected.

    Hedgehog

They are both protected species so this must be illegal, but to whom do we complain about it? Criticism in the news isn't enough!

    Is everyone ok?

Only just read this as my sister is staying with so things get neglected. So sorry to read this Marigold, I remember the photographs you posted when she was a tiny puppy. Will be thinking of you tomorrow.

    Post

My post has been generally OK but the "delivery centre" is less than a mile away. A Special Delivery I posted to Wellingborough last Friday (not a strike day) wasn't delivered until Wednesday.

I wondered how much you would have been affected by that. It's one of the problems of overhead cables but at least you didn't have water flowing out of your (mains) gas stove. I have oil central heating because there is no gas, or mains drainage for that matter, but I also have a woodburner...

    Disgraceful behaviour

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-63810468 I wonder if this is the source of the comment about the potential skin colour of baby Archie? Someone who thinks they have the right to be so rude wouldn't baulk at asking that!

Ooh no! Sorry Lady A but they're honey coloured Cotswold stone and nowhere are there hills as steep as that, even the hill up from Lulling!
