Can anyone advise on the best deals for Weldmesh at the moment please?

Am looking to extend my run.

Thank you.

I guess you’ll have to do a web search for yourself, Olivia - many of us, like me, bought weldmesh years ago, and prices and availability change all the time. I’m not sure if anyone has been buying recently, and of course it depends on what size and quality you’re looking for. However, Hills of Devon have a good reputation, it might be worth starting there.

You need to be so very careful what you buy Olivia9801. Our first roll, bought 14 years ago, is still in perfect condition. The second has rusted after just two years outside and now the roll has rusted in storage. The difference is the first was 'hot dip galvanised', so the mesh was welded together and then passed through a bath of molten zinc. The second was described as 'galvanised', but was in fact just thinly electroplated. I have even seen weld mesh which used electroplated wire, so at every joint there was no protection. Buy expensive and be sure of what you getting.

Can't remember where we got ours, but it was also "hot dipped galvanised", and 12 years later it is still as good as new. Even the remainder of the roll in the shed is perfect.

I guess that what you consider to be cheapest depends on how long you want it to last... If you keep having to replace it, the "budget" stuff will work out very expensive.

Hello
My husband has just built a sizeable enclosed run extension for our girls.
I found some 12 gauge welded mesh panels (galvanised steel) on ebay. I purchased 8 ft x 4ft panels £59.99 including delivery for one panel with a discount for multiple purchases. The panels also come in 6ft x 3ft. They are very heavy and have made our integrated coop and run design extremely robust. My husband needed to purchase cutters specially for the job it is so strong! :D
We have only just completed the project so are yet to find out how long it lasts but it seems like brilliant quality to me.
Hope this helps
