We have just bought four turkey poults, two are about a one - two weeks old and the other two about two - three weeks old (we think). We already have 5 turkeys who are 4-5 months old. At the moment we are keeping them separate day and night, but would like to put them all together at night as it wold be much more convenient. Are the babies likely to get bullied an attacked by the older ones, or will they be safe together? :D

Hi Carolyn, I would not recommend it with that much of an age difference, and mainly on account of the young ones being so young. If you do try it at some point, you will have to monitor them closely for several hours to see how they behave. Running them side by side, but separated, in the daytime for a week or so, so they get to know each other would improve the chances of success.

Thanks. They can already see each other and the big ones are sitting outside the babies pen watching them so I will leave it at that for the time being. At what age then should I leave it until I think about putting them together?

I couldn't say really, I think you will have to judge that for yourself.
