Too hot too cold

We got a second hand incubator and set it on 37.5 with a dozen duck eggs. We are constantly needing to re calibrate it from being too high or too low. My question is for these eggs to be still viable. What is the max and min temps for these eggs to survive.

Depends what the actual variation is Moniqueccc? Too cold and the eggs will hatch late- too hot and they will die. I'd say 2C up or down are the limits with a time factor- low for several hours and high for a few minutes.

Incubators run a very fine temperature tolerance usually because of the electronic controlling the heater. It doesn't simply switch on and off but runs on power variations to the heater, so 0.1C is an acceptable variation, not 0.5C. It's very important where you put an incubator- the ambient temperature needs to be constant with no draughts or sunlight.
