Gosh, it's a long drive  (or can you fly up?)

It is a long way up, I might be taking a couple of birds back though! All depends on the weather though...

Hi,
I'm hoping to go, just as a spectator, as it's really local to me. Can anyone tell me, is it the same birds exhibited on both days, or is there something different on the second day, and when is the best time to go, would not like to turn up and find I had to hang around for ages while the judging takes place.
Thanks
Sue

It's the same birds on both days, I'm penning some of mine on Friday night and the rest on Sat. morning (I've got 38 entered) - then the judging starts - the sat afternoon and sunday is to visit and look at all the birds and buy some as well at the sale

Wow  38 birds dorinda ... and I was stressed with my 12 ducks earlier in the year!

I wish I could get up there to take some photos but I can't see it happening. It's just too far for me. I'm thinking about asking Rupert whether he fancies going to the Reading Bantam show with me though.

I need a helicopter. I could paint a 'H' in the field in between the chicken houses :)19

Hi Guys,
Thanks for the information, I shouldn't ask this  , but when do they have the sale, will have to leave the bank card card at home, as I really haven't any room for more stock.
Dorinda, 38 birds entered it must be a mammoth task getting them all clean and ready for show day, I wish you and your birds all the best, and hope they all get prize cards :)08 .
Regards
Sue

Hi Dan,

Yes any photos you can get would be great. It's always nice to see a few shots from the shows. If you don't have a background then it's usually best to ask someone if they mind you taking a photo and get them to lift the door gently so you can see a bird without the cage front.

I will try and get some video footage, hopefully not panning so fast this time, so you can see the chickens and not a blurry shot! :D

Unlikely they will get many cards this year - the bad weather has defo made a few birds a lot less fit - I start washing next Monday - anyone want to brandish a hairdryer or two?? ;)
