Lovely birds, but I think the 4th hen down, (the lavender one) is actually a lavender cuckoo. I may be wrong, but I just thought I'd point it out. Great post
I have 4 Pekins, 2 smooth (lavender and black mottled - also I always thought they were called "pied" but I might be wrong lol) and 2 frizzles (a black and a grey one). All 4 have lovely personalities, and the plumage feels so soft! They can be broody very easily though I have found, especially the smooth ones. The frizzles get broody too but they seem to copy off the other 2 rather than being truly broody,... if that makes sense lol.
In reply to Chuckchick, I am pretty sure that the 4th on down is a lavender Pekin. I have attached a photo of my Dusty, for comparison. Not the best photo because I mainly have videos of her lol.
Hi again lol
I have just realised that the photo I have posted of Dusty looks more like a white pekin but her colour goes whiter after a period of being broody, and much more lavender like any other time... She had come out of broodiness on this photo... Hence the whiter look....
