got my dates wrong!

Hi. I counted up the incubation dates wrongly and took the turning machine out, lowered the temperature slightly, and added extra water (as instructed on the machine details) a day early i.e. day 17 rather than day 18. Will this be a problem? Can I do anything to save the situation? I am now on day 20. :roll:

Nothing you can do at this stage Carolyn, except leave the incubator in lockdown and sit on your hands. There's a good chance all will be well and it'll make no difference to the outcome, I think. Are there signs that the eggs are starting to rock into hatching positions yet?

I don't know as I cannot see inside and I don't want to lift the lid.

Just hang on in there, and listen for the cheeping!

I shouldn't think you have much to worry about from doing that, the air pocket should be large enough by day 17 so the extra humidity shouldn't hurt and I don't think missing one day of turning should be a problem either. Good luck, hope you have a good hatch.
