Hello,
I have recently ordered 5 turkey poults which we will be raising for xmas. We are picking them up in a fortnights time when they will be off-heat and 6 weeks old.
We have converted a 8ft x 6ft old shed into a house for them for overnight, and will be fencing off a large area around that for them to have during the day. They will also be allowed to free range across our acre of garden during evenings and weekends when we are there with them.
Have already contacted my local feedmill and they will be getting in the feed for me, so I think that we are getting towards being ready.
I just wondered if anyone had any advice that they wished they had known when they first started out keeping turkeys, as we want to make sure that we give them the best possible life they can have whilst we have them. One question that I did have is whether they need a drinker and a feeder in the house with them for overnight?
