wanted: autosexing eggs close to Nottingham

Can anyone help?

I'm hoping to find a couple of dozen eggs in or around Nottingham, idealy Cream Legbars, but open to other autosexing breeds that fit the bill:

autosexing at birth,
great egg production,
hardy and
breed true.

So, please let me know whats available.

Hi Green Leg and welcome to the forum. Think you will struggle this time of year. Many have stopped laying and fertility rates are low anyway. We hatched in October last year and spent a small fortune in electricity keeping them warm. They needed heat right through Winter. I would advise waiting until March but investigate now. Could try contacting the breed club. We bought Cream Legbar chicks from a place outside Rugby years ago when we lived in Staffordshire.

If you are still looking for Cream Legbar eggs I breed them and I'm IN Nottingham (Wollaton)

I have 1 cockerel running with 5 hens - all true to the breed standard (no gold)

I currently have 8 eggs available but they are laying pretty well at the moment so can save you more if you'd like?

Fertility on my last hatch was very good 23/25 fertile 08
