Young chickens added to main flock.

What age do young chickens need to be before adding to the main flock? Some of the chicks I am hatching at the moment will be going in areas of their own but some will be going in with my original hens.

Hi Anne, i don't add mine until they are pol or laying- otherwise they can be beaten up and are not brave enough to fight their corner- hens are and can be very nasty and aggressive and do lots of damage- especially if picking on youngsters.
