my eggs { well 3 thats fertile } are due to hatch over the next 48 hrs and i am worried sick thats nothings going to happen especailly as the pump doesnt seemt o be working properly so i am having to use a little tub of water instead and i need to keep figners crossed cause if i only get 1 or 2 chicksi am going to get them under one of my broodys and i reckon she should take to them unless its not to late to move them now what do you think :-)05

If you have a good broody I would be tempted to move them now. Put pot eggs under the broody and then substitute them. I see your problem. On one hand the incubator may be too dry and the chicks get stuck or on the other the broody may reject them. See what everyone else thinks?

well shes been on eggs all weekend in the rabbit hutch and although shes locked in there i do let her out for 10 mins while i am in the run but it doesnt take her long to go back in there a few times though shes gone to the wrong house but i just move her to the correct one and she sits tight but if they hatch under her i feel she wont reject them but who knows :-)05

No good if she is hatching proper eggs Karminski because when the new ones hatch she will abandon the others to look after those chicks. Unless they are all timed to hatch on the same day?

 sorry chris forgot to say they were non fertile ones , i have read and read loads of pages and decided to place the eggs under her well shes snuggled down with them :D , it must of only took me 2 mins or under that to get them out wrap in my thick fleece jumper and put them under her she didnt even move and i told her tonight dont worry its only about 48 hrs to go  but the one whos just come of the chicks is acting slighty broody again but she can wait tell next year along with poor old kola who adores having chicks .i have the brooder house :D and leccy ready just in case
