My birds are regually wormed and are healthy, they have acv in their water for 7 days once a month at about a 2% dilution. I have one orpington that gets yellow droppings each time he is put on ACV, do you think he is allergic to acv, does anyone else notice their birds droppings change colour when they are on acv?
Droppings are yellow, quite runny but not foamy. All the other birds he is with have normal white tipped droppings (we are on this subject again!)
Was wormed about 9/10 weeks ago.

He doesn't sound as if he is suffering with an allergy to ACV,as I would expect him to be ill if he was.I hadn't noticed my chooks having a colour change as such with ACV,but a few of them are looser. This always happens with my girls for the week they are having ACV.
Mine have 10mls in a litre of water.

I haven't noticed this before - but then it's not easy for me to tell who is doing what as they have quite a bit of free range together and leave their business cards all over the fields...

Do you think I should be worried? no signs of any other ill health, but then a chicken is very good at hiding problems until they keel over!

No, their droppings can vary quite a bit depending on what they eat - greens for example can cause diarrhoea for example.

It's always difficult working out what the problem is from droppings unless they are at the extreme ends of the spectrum and accompanied by other symptoms.

If he goes back to normal when the ACV is removed my guess is he's fine...

Thanks Tim
Yes he is off the acv again and droppings back to normal. I am sure he poops twice and much as normal when on the acv and is a runny bright yellow, when off the acv back to normal firm poops and normal colour!
