The black ones a cockerel.
The nearest ones a cockerel.
The one on the left is a pullet.

Hi, a little but not much
black one and one on right males , the brown one on the left looks girlie from this angle! :D
hope it helps! A head only shot -side on would be good- if possible ;)

regards, David :)

Thanks David, I shall be taking boys to farm shop pretty soon then. Yes they are Pekins but I didn't know what sort? Think I'm going to buy as sexed next time cos I always get cocks! Oh well I got 1 girl so she will need a few friends shortly :D :D Hubby has no excuse to say no now! :D Thanks again David

OMG really, I thought yellow was female? Oh dear me, look like all 3 are going : :( Thanks Though :)

Hi Natalie,

I am waiting for my chicks to hatch but am unsure what to do with the cocks. Do you mind me asking what you plan to do with your cocks?

Thanks Laura

Hi Laura, There's a farm shop by me that I have 'heard' takes cocks, I will be going up there some time this week but failing that I will have to advertise and ring around places to see if I can get rid of them. I haven't got the heart to cull them and neither has hubby. Its quite hard to get rid of them if I'm honest, not many people want them for obvious reasons. What are you hatching? how many? Are you using an incubator or hen? Sorry I'm so nosey, just interested
Natalie x

I have 2 buff orphingtons and 2 pekins under my broody white sussex. Its our first time so we're keping everything crossed, they should be hatching any time after thursday. My silkie has also gone broody now but am unsure whether to get her any eggs yet.

I dont know what I feel about culling, I know neither my hubby or me would be able to do it. So I've got my fingers crossed for pullets.

1 white sussex, 1 ginger ranger, 1 black ??, 1 black silkie and 4 fertilised eggs
