Good morning all.

Our Khaki Campbell ducks have laid their first egg. It is ridiculous how excited you can get, but we were sold these ducks at POL about 8 weeks ago, ha ha ha ha, never believe what they tell you. I had almost given up.

On the down side MOH opened their hutch and the egg fell out and cracked on the floor, bl**dy typical.

I am going to have a go at hatching some of the eggs, our drake Daggle is definately doing the buisness, so i have some hopes of sucess.

Once i know the fertility i shall let you all know when i have eggs available, if anyone is interested. Hopefully they should be coming thick and fast now.

There's nothing quite so exciting as your first egg! Congratulations Hope you get a good clutch and the Mama wants to set them. If not, get your duck egg recipes ready - as I recall when we had KCs, you'll be getting an egg a day - and duck eggs are rich and luscious!

Eight out of 9 eggs are hatched with the last one pipping. All ducklings very active and eating and drinking well.

So if anyone wants any ducklings or hatching eggs i can now gaurantee fertile eggs and healthy ducklings

I had a message from a chap i sold KC eggs to via e-bay. All six of his eggs have hatched and he now has six very active ducklings. He has left me further feedback on e-bay saying that they almost leapt from their shells I knew they were fertile and that all nine of mine hatched, but you still worry until it's over and you get feedback
