Hi. Could I have some advice please? Our oldest chicken, Lucky, is going on for 4 and she's taken herself to a spare hut that has a little pen attached since four days. She is drinking but hardly eating anything. When I checked up on her last night she was inside the hut standing up. I picked up the lid just now and she walked out of the hut and into the pen and I noticed she was wobbling. She hasn't sat down at all and is just standing there, blinking her eyes and not taking much interest in anything. I have no idea what to do. We don't want to put her to sleep in case she gets better but we don't want her to be suffering - although she doesn't seem distressed - just standing there. Any advice would be most helpful. Thanks.

Another wobby hen. Is her crop solid or squishy? Is she pale? Are her poos normal? When was she last wormed? What breed is she? Has she lost weight -is her breast bone prominant? Have you checked for red mite in her old coop? Far too early to consider despatching her!
