omggggggggg dont know about you guys but my run is completely under water and i cant do much about it talk about depressing am hoping to get out tomorrow and finish another separation fence which means all the big girls will be away from the area known only as the bog but even better i was offered some roofing sheets for free :D :D :D the guy who does my culling is putting a new roof on his garage and is giving me the old sheets he says they are pretty much the same as onduline so i cant wait dont care if it wont look to nice but at least the girls will be dry and even better they will be free i promise my girls that by next winter without fail they will be bone dry lmao i have to say next winter cause some of this i'll have to somehow do on my own and thats going to be very interesting .

Hello Kar.,
Yes, mine too.
Just to enable me to get to the hen houses, I put down palets(?) is that the right word?
At least I can now let them out, shut them in, and feed and water them in squelchy discomfort, mud above ankle height.
Otherwise it would have been too treacherous for poor old me.
The hens also use them I notice, for getting about when they are not eating or drinking, wish the rain would go away, and NOT come again another day, I am seriously fed up with it.
I wish I knew of a rain unmaker!

i will be geting pallets from work once i have built this fence and the girls are away from the mud but i got to be carefull though as we cant burn from april though to november so i need to remove them at the right time or esle i got to find somewhere to store them for burning , wish it would stop raining we have my dads funeral at 11 dont want to be getting wet and miserable for that .

i hope the weather holds for your dad's funeral - hope you hold up ok :( . I'm sick of this weather, floods etc , ah well we have months of winter to come :x

it only rained a little so that was good and it never came down like it was meant to this afternoon but tell you the truth i would perfer the freezing cold an dry then the wet an warm , i was standing in the run this atfernoon wandering how the hek am i ever going to be able to roof it if i have to do most of it on my own then its going to be near on impossible ,think i might do better leaving the main fence 7ft tall dropping the inner fence to 6 foot tall then pulling the netting as tight as i can an then just banton on tarpaulin above the netting at least that i can do on my own. so so wish i had done it all properly in the first place but it is kinda annoying as some people say leave the top netted and open to the weather and some swear by putting on a solid roof on really makes you wander what to do for the best dosent it .

Our run is partially covered by the high coop and the rest just has tarp on the roof and 2 sides BUT think we will get some clear onduline at the weekend... my hubby is outside in the dark and rain trying to put a door in the side of the run cos he forgot in the rush to get it ready.... fun n games trying to get the food in the run, and even more trying to get in to put the girls to bed.....

its meant to be drying out { wont hold my breath  } so hopfully i can get the beams up tomorrow so at least i can get the wire up and split the girls away from all the bog then once thats done i'll be a just that little bit happier , my best friends boyfriend and her son have offered to help me bad move    neither of them know what they are doing so i'll have a laugh but at least i will have an extra pair of hands .

Just stand there and tell them exactly what to do.

Glad today wasn't too dreadful for you.

i will do margaid in between the fits of laughter her boyfriend cracks me up hopfully going to make a start in there today as while i am of work .
