Being new to chickens i have got electric netting coming & i have been told the best way to prevent chickens from flying over net is to clip wings, what is the best way to do this?

What breed are they? Not all breeds can fly over netting. I have Pekins and they can't.

I have'nt got the chickens yet, I am in process of setting up the fence then on look out for some chickens

Generally the larger the breed the harder it is for them to fly but if you need to clip the wings only do one wing, not both. It's easiest with two people. Take a sharp pair of feathers, hold the bird firmly with it's head under your arm, spread the pinion feathers (last eight or nine feathers which look like fingers), snip them off by 50%. It doesn't hurt the bird and causes it to flop over if it tries to fly. This needs to be repeated annually after moulting. Good luck!

...and check the feathers you plan to cut aren't growing if they are young birds / just moulted - if they are the quill is full of blood and looks dark almost black. If cut, they bleed quite badly.
