wind eggs

i know this has probably been discussed 100 times but theres so many different answers on the web and i cant really tell what ones are the truth are wind eggs from birds that are about to lay or from birds that are due to stop laying , all my 11 girls where laying fine until recently where they have slowed down and my ex batts when i got them within the first 3 days all 8 laided so i do know that all my girls are laying but over the past 2 weeks though i have had 4 wind eggs ???
