Hi all
I have a new lady to add to our family..... She is beautiful but I am unsure of her breed. She is only young although I think she looks like a picture I have seen on line of a gold laced wyandotte hen although she has feathers on her legs. She is a really big bird already although only young and waddles as she is a big ball of feathers. HHer name... if you would like to know is Gaynor!

Well, she has the outline and markings of a Gold laced Wyandotte, or possibly a gold Laced Orpington ( if she's single combed) but those feathered legs are definitely nothing to do with a Wyandotte!! ( or Orpington) I would suggest she has Wyandotte blood with a mix of Brahma or Cochin in her.

She could be part of a breeding program to introduce gold lacing into brahmas (i.e. she could be an orpington x brahma or similar)
