Hi,
I have a RCom 20 pro which I want to double check the calibration of. I've got a digital hygrometer and and analog one in addition to the machines own sensors. They are all reading different temperatures and humidities!
Which one do I trust??
Help me!

Well the Rcom should be pretty accurate, unless the machine is older and may need re-calibration. I use one very similar to the top meter in your photos, I like it as it is steady and the readings are not affected by blips in humidity and considering the 4 hatches so far this year I cannot fault it in its accuracy.

Thanks foxy,
I used it last year with no problems. Think I've wasted my money on the digital one.

I have the same digital one, and use it to check the ambient humidity, works fine for that! Well did till I dropped it...

Having had 2 successful dry hatches in a Brinsea Mini with no indication of humidity levels at all, I got one of those digital ones and was interested to find out how high the ambient humidity was in the room I'd used for the inci. Obviously no need for any more water!

A few years ago I got in a real state about temp and humidity and ended up with several gadgets, all giving different readings.
I have found the most important thing is not to let the temperature go above the max recommended or the developing chicks will be killed. You can run an incubator a degree under and they will hatch, though may be a day late. Humidity needs only to be a guide and there's no need to get hung up if the gadget is reading a little high or low. For my sanity, I dispensed with all the gadgets and now just rely on the thermometer on the incubator.

Oh thanks everyone.
I think I'm getting too stressed out about it all. The eggs are going in today.
