Which eggs to hatch

I am proposing to hatch some eggs in the spring and wondered what age should the birds be before they produce good eggs for hatching :?:

Hello, most people wait until the second year before hatching- the eggs are bigger and will produce strong chicks. You can hatch from pullets ( i do - depends on how many and what breed you have) but it is better to wait until the second year.
