Where is everyone this weekend?

So where have you all gone this weekend then? Is there some big event that everyone has disappeared to or are you all spring cleaning your hen houses? Perhaps you've all gone on holiday to somewhere warm and sunny (very cold, windy and wet in the South West today!)

Hi Sue, we have been busy here! Chicks hatching, early spring chores to do...runs sorted, sheds scrubbed out...now I am sat down with a nice glass of red wine!

Deep in throes of awful snotty cold here, both of us - but I did move my first lot of quail chicks from the brooder on the landing to a cage in the quail house, with an Ecoglow to keep them happy. Second batch due to hatch next Sunday, so that's what will fill my day then!

I had to do work on the house as its on the market in three weeks. Were going to post about our swamps -two fixed rums that turned to mud in the rain, but they have dried up now anyway. Friend is taking down some trees and borrowing a huge commercial chipper so we can put a few tons of new chips down soon and that's problem sorted for our remaining time.

And I should be painting now so bye.....

Everyone sounds very busy.
As for me, when I saw a large geranium crown wizzing through the air in front of me, decided it was time to take action. Made a dash to Trago mills for wire mesh, deciding it was time to throw the chooks off the flowerbeds and restrict them back to the lawn. Having done that, watched in horror as 'the little horrors' ran straight through the stuff to feed the girls, who then dashed back to the flowerbeds and hid behind the greenhouse blowing rasperries at me. I couldn't catch them till the sun dropped
They may be small, but the nickname little 'tractors' has stuck :shock:

Sounds as though you all had a very busy weekend. I expect I should have been busy as well, but what with all the worry about Tilly for the last few weeks I decided to 'chill'. I just didn't have anyone to talk to because you were all busy doing your chores!!!!!! :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:
