anybody now where i can buy nystatin? i looked everywhere

I think you can only get it with a prescription from an animal pharmacy.A vet would need to see which animal you wished to treat,unless your vet has prescribed this before you,and,would let you buy some from them with out examining the chicken.I'm assuming you want nystatin for sour croup,if that is what it is used for???

yes , that is what i need it for i have a turkey and her crop is mushy and i read that someone had the same problem with a mushy crop and the vet gave them nystatin. and it worked . thanks lydia.
Its vet only. It helps prevent infection in sour crop etc. I've used it before in a chook.
If your turkey has a mushy crop you'd need to see a vet with her to get it given. Also be worth emptying the crop if possible so as to get rid of the crap in there.

I haven't used this before - its for fungal infections isn't it? 
I found this on a pigeon fanciers forum about Garlic:
Effective Antifungal
Fungi demonstrated to be susceptible to garlic in lab tests include the genera Microsporum, Epidermophyton, Trichophyton, Rhodotorula, Torulopsis, Trichosporon, Cryptococcus neoformans, and Candida, including Candida albicans. It is reported that garlic is more effective against pathogenic yeasts than nystatin, especially Candida albicans (1) (5) (9) (11).
I'm not actually sure of the original source....
They also mention that on holiday, you can find Nystatin in the chemists - over here its veterinary prescription only medication.

Yes, it is. Its used if sour crop is occurring and to prevent anything nasty setting in and causing more problems. I've only used it once in a crop problem. Live yogurt does a good job in my experience also, dependant on the case though.

Er,with emptying a chickens crop if nesesary they can be turned upside down,the only turkey's I've seen are huge.I wouldn't want to try and turn a turkey upside down.
