When to worm chicks

Can anyone tell me when I need to worm my chicks? They are 5 weeks old at the moment and have just been moved outside, but they are in a run in a semi-open outbuilding...
Also, I was wondering, is it advisable to give chicks vitamin supplements/probiotics in the water as I do with my fully grown chooks?

Hello, i don't worm mine until POL or laying- and if you are feeding growers pellets/meal and they are free ranging i wouldn't bother with supplements- they will get all they need from the pellets and grass etc.

hi, normally twice a year-i do mine September and March.
