Out of my 5 chicks it seems 2 are not laying.
One is not tip-top at the mo, runny poo & generally very lethargic but seems to be gradually improving each day, she hasn't laid for a few months but not bothered as she was well & happy (I thought). She's the 'head girl'

Now it seems another one has gone off laying too. My Campine (about a year old) is a very consistent layer, lays for 5 days then has 2 days off then lays for another 5 days etc. Over the last 2 weeks its gradually reduced with more off days than on & now she hasn't laid for 5 consecutive days.

Is this something to worry about? She seems healthy & happy, although bottom of the pecking order she knows her place :) she's eating etc.

I have found her sitting in the nesting box a couple of times & thought this would produce an egg but no. Apparently they are not a broody breed so don't think its this. Don't think she's overweight but as she's a small bird I'm not sure how I would tell :? I've felt her & she seems not overly chubby over the breastbone.

I'm concerned that this might be a problem I'm not spotting & don't want the others to 'get' whatever it might be. Any ideas anyone. Thanks in advance. :)

if she about a year old she may be coming into moult, they use most of their energy to grow their new feathers they usually stop laying.

mine love this hot weather they have been laying more eggs than ever these last few weeks!

Thats interesting, didn't think about moulting, I thought they didn't come into moult until later in the season whatever their age. Due to Mr Fox the first year & then the new ones only young last year I've never had my chooks go into a moult.
