I have a 4yr old Maran who until a few days ago was laying well. I noticed yesterday that her comb was pale and came to the conclusion she was in moult. Today she didn't come out of the hen house with the others and underneath where she perches were white watery poos. I've got her outside now but she is a bit hunched and not interested in food. They were wormed beginning of June, I've felt her crop, not that I really know what I'm doing there, but I found nothing squidgy or hard. She was still a bit lively when I tried to examine her so she's still got a bit of energy still. What could be wrong??

Sounds like crop bound Newtoducks. You can't always feel it as there can be a small solid lump in there. Give her 2mL of cod liver (or olive) oil and massage the crop as often as you can. Live mealworms can break up an impaction -we used to use maggots but have since read they can harbour fatal 'botulism' I think? Keep massaging until you see her eating and drinking. Cod liver oil is a good pick-me-up anyway.

Sorry my reply was rather slow. Didn't notice it was a post in the chickens health section. Hope she is OK.

Sorry to hear your hen is unwell. :( It is very difficult to diagnose your hen, pallor of her comb combined with watery droppings is not a good sign though and may indicate an underlying metabolic problem. A vet will give you a more definitive answer I am sure.
