My little ones are coming up to 17 weeks soon, I was wondering what age I should worm them at. They shouldn't have any worm burden as they are separate from the big chickens and their run has been dry as a bone even in the wet weather so no worms/slugs to be seen.

Don't know if it is right or wrong, but I start worming my birds at about POL regardless of the condition of the run. Your's being 16 weeks, could do no harm I wouldn't have thought. Perhaps have a chat with the feed companies that supply the worming pellets? They might have a notion.

I agree with Philcott, it's a good idea to get them treated before they start to lay and also before they have the stress of joining the older birds in your flock, if you have any. If its possible to do all your birds at the same time, before the growers join their pen, they will all be in synch for worming together 4-6 months later.
