I have recently up-graded to a westernette incubator that has chickmaster controls, therefore using contact thermometers for temperature control. What I do have with this machine, is a contact thermometer that controls the humidity. This thermometer is operated as a wet bulb and the contacts of it, open and close a valve that allows water to flow into the water pan. What I am not familiar with, is the external water supply, does it need a pressurized ( mains water) supply or can it be fed by gravity from a header tank? I can see the advantage of this, I would not need to open the door to refill water pans! Any advice would be much appreciated.

Hi Robertmark, and welcome to the Forum.
I don't know the answer to your question, I'm afraid, but thought you might be interested in this recent article in the main Poultrykeeper website about incubation humidity.

If you haven't yet found the main Poultrykeeper website, it's a mine if information, and there's a link at the bottom of each page on the Forum.
