Popped into the Welsh National show today to have a look around - didn't stay long as my boys don't like the noise the birds make (my hubbie gave my three year old ear defenders to wear around )

There were some lovely birds there - think I saw ncotb's appenzellers - fantastic looking birds

There was a beautiful little millefleur d'uccle in the sale section that hubby had to drag me away from but I did pick up my silver laced pullet breeder boy which someone had bought down for me

:lol: Yeah it's even pretty far to go for most people who live in Wales to be honest! It was nice to go and have a nose- I was thinking people would laugh at my chickens if I took them but they were as good as some which were there so I'll enter some next year.

There were NO polands entered at all- just a boy in the sale section so I really should have put a few of mine in :roll: Not many sussex LF or LF wyandottes- some gorgeous bantam ones though! Some nice white pekins and blacks but only black mottled in the AOC class so I wish I'd put my millie girl in at least

Shame you couldnt stay long, though know what little 'uns are like 07 yep, they were our Apps - had a good day out, got best large rare, 5 x 1st, 4 x 2nd & 2 x 3rd.

I didn't enter this one, just went as a roadie with friends :lol:

Some nice birds there, did spot your Appenzellers
Odd raffle prizes (washing line one one!), but then they always are :lol:

Hope to go next year - very nearly went this year - it had had good classes for cochins
