Hello all!
My Welsummer, who is in permanent isolation as a backgarden chicken due to her vicious nature, is a bit off colour! She was layning nicely till last week, when she laid a shell-less egg and then stopped. She is now not eating much layers pellets, and is producing lots of almost totally water poos. She is still scratching around, looks pretty perky, and eats corn from the hand like she is starving to death. Should I worry? I've looked very carefully at the few solid poos she has produced, and they look totally normal. She was wormed about three months ago. One side issue is the she has had access to the discarded stuff falling from a song bird feeder - so she may have been eating a lot of the sort of seeds you get in a cheap bird feeder type mix - anything poisonous in that?
This bird is a complete monster with others - she pecks the weakest ones till they bleed, but she is a lovely bird by herself. I thought she was coping OK with the solitude, but is she masking it and getting ill?
Thanks!
Nick
