VSB Door Closer

Hi all,

I have recently written a review of an Automatic Chicken Door Opener from AXT Electronic in Germany.

I have to admit, owning 3 of these, I have never had any serious problems with them over the last 4 years or so and they work really well.

I wanted to research this a little more though - I might just be lucky... if you have one of these, how do you find it? Have you had any problems with it?

Hi Tim,

I purchased a VSB Door Closer around three years ago. I had one problem with it in regards to the cord liflting the weight - It snapped!

My fault - It's a strange set-up on the coop which means I have to use a couple of pulleys to open/close the door and didn't quite line them up correctly. Wear and tear resulted. As a result I used some fishing line as a fix - bad move as it messed things up. As a result I contacted AXT (18 months after purchase).

Response: "Send the unit back to us sir and we will see what we can do"
Result: One brand new door opener, delivered ASAP. I have had no problems since.

Great device, would (and have) greatly recommended it. And, it's not everyday you get such EXCELLENT customer service.
