My two lovely girls have each presented me with an egg!

One is long and thin and the other is round and fat, the eggs, not the pullets. It was a lovely surprise. Love those girls to bits, they are so lively and noisy, but very pettable.

Spring has come! New eggs are always exciting, congratulations. Are they flighty?

Flighty could be an other word for their attitude to life. I've never had a pullet lay at 19 weeks, they are a joy to behold, I would call them cheerful girls. Alongside the Croads, 3 times their size and bulk they look so slender and elegant. Black and white always look good together I think. The Croads are so peaceable and nice natured, and just plod and eat, and nudge anybody who gets out of order. In their case size is everything and they know it.
