ungrateful duck

today i made a new large water area for my duck mr doodle it was made from one of those mutil coloured sqaure sand pits so it was 5 ft by 5ft about about 12 inches deep . i went out and brought some strong pond liner and made this most wonderfull looking pond for him but nahhhhhhhhhhhhhh would he go near it never he hated it but as soon as i decided to put back the little plastic shell sandpit thingy to see what he would perfer he was as happy as anything and jumped right in before it was full :lol: :lol: .so i tried to order 2 more on tescos direct and they were only £8 but they have discontinued them tpyical i need a few more as the ones i am using are old the bottom one has broken edges and the top one has holes in it which is why i have put them inside each other so looks like i'll have to pay more and get them on ebay .

I use these from from Argos, you get two shell sandpits, they are good and sturdy but they discontinued in midsummer each year.

thats what i have foxy but need a couple more going to go get them next weekend what i have will do for now am wandering if thats all the duck was used to just got to find it a friend now .

You need to give him time, ducks are very suspicious of anything new, they take ages to adjust.

thought it might do but it seems so so happy with the shell pond he can keep it i adore watching him splash about its great starting to let him out onto the site as well to have a wander round its great watching him
