Sorry to sound a bit thick (but I am!). I have some Tylan soluble 100 which I need to give to my birds. I have read the Tylan info on this site & it says 0.5g to 1 litre )presumable 1g to 2 litres etc). Such a small weight won't register on my scales. Can anyone tell me what the equivalent would be in teaspoons? or is 0.5g the same as 0.5ml, (as I have a set of measuring spoons)?
Thanks

Hi,

It's difficult to say how much it would be as the volume you put into a teaspoon would be a different weight for different medicines.

I will have a look through my cupboard tonight to see if I have some Tylan 100 left and if I do, I will weigh out a teaspoon full and get back to you.

Hi Ionicera,
you have probably already done this,so please don't think i'm being rude.Is there no sort of marks on the container to show how much too measure out?
Quite often either a capfull,or,marks on the side of a container will help to measure out correct doses.

Hi
The writing on the bottle is very small, but says refer to attached leaflet for doseage. Unfortunately, the leaflet has disappeared. I have managed to find elsewhere on the internet dose for poultry is 1/4 teaspoon to 1 litre, so have used this for now, but if anyone knows that to be wrong, please let me know.

Thanks

(ps. No, I don't think you're being rude - sometimes in panic we overlook the obvious!)

I haven't been able to find any - I'm sure I had a bottle with some in.

I will have a look at my friends farm as he's got a few of my lotions and potions.
