Im a newbbie that hasnt come across this before ------

This year is the first year ive hatched chick via an incubator.
I ve had 2 black pekin chicks via eggs off of ebay. they must be 4 weeks now and one is large and looking like a cock, the other small may be female.
The smaller one has always had a problem with a mucky back end that ive cleaned and since the back end is bald!!! it still looks well only smaller.
Checking it today i noticed it was very smelly and i cant believe i didnt notice this earlier - looks like it has two vents

instead of a vent in the middle it has what looks like one vent each side.

Is this what im seeing?
is this common?
i will cull this one but was just interested if any one has come across this????

I have never come across this before.

Could be a genetic deformity, but I'm not sure about that.

Looking at it now and had time to think, it looks like this chick had no vent at all.
i checked and cleaned it at a coulple of days old because it had a mucky backend.I noticed then that it had a small hole on the right hand side and thought it this was the vent just developed to one side.

Now its culled and have had a good look it looks as if it had no vent at all and that the first hole was a draining abcesses .
The left hand side had a slight swelling at the time and this too develloped in to a draining abcesses . And gosh did it smell!!!!

Poor little thing.

Strange things do happen - more so with close breeding of animals of course...

Sorry it was wrongly developed wiltshirehen, thanks for passing your experience on.
