Tok, tok, tok

Had read about this but only this morning witnessed it myself (having 3 hens and no rooster.)
Blaze found a spider (medium sized) and had it in her beak but called for help, 'tok, tok'. Brownie came running and bit half of it off then Blaze had the rest.
Moments later Brownie found a snail and didn't advertise the fact - a bit more palatable!?

Yep, sound about right!
Maybe spiders are like Pringles whereas snails are more of a Galaxy moment
