10 muscovey eggs fell into my hands at an auction yesterday   My fave duck!! have never hatched out ducks before, I know these take 35 days but dont know much else about hatching ducks! The incy I have is a borrowed one (cant remember make) & is run dry for chickens/quails as is humid here.

Hi,
I didn't hatch any this year, but hatched about 30 out last year, I run my inccy dry all the time, as we live in an area with very high rainfall, hadn't any bother with them hatching, but once they were hatched, I found that I could only keep them under a heat lamp for 10 days max, as they nibbled all the down off each other :o , but this time of year they will obviously need longer under heat than in the spring, they might need a turf of grass or some other sort of green stuff in the brooder to keep them amused.
Good luck with your hatch :D ,
Sue

Thank you :)

Just another question, how long do you leave til candling?

Hi,
I think I candled at 10 days, but can't be sure as it was a while ago since I hatched any.
Regards
Sue
