Or as near as damn it. Still as cheeky and as lovely as ever. Everything we do is like some sort of game to them that they want to join in with. They go out of their way to annoy the bigger birds in the main flock, just for the hell of it I think, and now form tag teams of two to see them off when they get chased (though it doesn't always work). Also the only hens that the Count has absolutely no interest in, probably because they peck the back of his legs when he goes anywhere near them.

lovely, cute birds, Dino.

I have one from my latest hatch of Pekins (PURE PEKINS) of course. that is like the the gold ones, but she has a Silkie crest. My Gdaughters have called her Muffy, and begged me not to get rid of her. She is cute, too, and an ace at pigeon chasing - bless!

I love the top picture, I don't know about beards and muffs, it should be ruffs :D

They are spectacular birds :D

Thank you everybody for being so nice about my favourite birds :D

Beautiful birds, Dino. Are they related to Faverolles at all?

They do look a bit Faverollish don't they, can't find any reference to Faverolles when I've read up about them though. Apparently as far as I can gather from looking at lots of German and Dutch sites they are a cross between a Padovana and some long extinct German breed. That explains the link to the Dutch Owlbeard which also has Padovana in it. In effect they share some of the same blood as Polands it would seem.

They look fantastic and lovely. I can imagine how, if you took that ruff and put it on top, you'd have a Poland!

Indeed :D

One day I will live back in the right environment to give them a go.

They really are lovely birds, Dino, if I did not already have thee hybrid bantams with muffs and beards and Silkie top knots I would love to have them, it is the cheeky look that I love, too.

Beautiful birds, I've only just become aware of this breed. I currently only keep / breed faverolles but these are very, very tempting :D I'm a sucker for a nicely muffled face !!
