I have a three and a half year old Pekin that I bought as a multiply vaccinated young bird. She used to be a big character but she has been thin all year in spite of lots of feeding and for the last 6 months she's been gradually getting much quieter although there are no real signs of illness and she is wormed and doesn't have mites.

I'm not sure what to do. I don't know if she may be carrying something she was vaccinated for as the vaccinations will have now worn off.

We've had older hens just waste away without apparent reason Chickenfan. They were happy to a point then just ran out of energy completely and stopped eating. Must be some underlying cause but nothing we could treat -one was certainly a heart condition.

Thanks Chris. I have been wondering if it is perhaps kinder to pts, and perhaps safer for the rest of the bantams if she could be carrying something. Her sister was similar and somehow became disorientated when I had her pts.
