They've arrived!

My chicken adventure has begun! The girls arrived yesterday and seem to be happily settling in and we had our first two eggs this morning so very exciting. I can see how this can become completely addictive.

Hooray! They look like a fine crew. The only thing better than your own chickens is pictures of other peoples! (that came out a bit backwards - you know what I mean ) Will they be staying in the little run with the sloping roof overnight? It looks like the easiest bit to make secure.

The whole thing is secure, (I hope) the run has a hinged lid for easy access, but the wire goes right across when the lid is down. They are locked in the hen house overnight, so hopefully they are safe.
