The girls have been playing the three-card-trick with me all morning, popping in and out of the nest box and laying when my back was turned, but I’m pretty sure I’ve got a result!

Blue = Piper, the marans x CLB
White = Ash, the partridge leghorn.
Brown = Amber, supposedly a Skyline but looks like a brown leghorn.

So Ash must have laid two eggs on each day, Saturday and Sunday. Good going.
I hope we can now all settle down, go on laying eggs, and get back to being normal chickens!

That's more or less what I used to get; blue/green eggs from the CLBs I bought from DarkBrownEggs just before she sold up. white from the Exchequer Leghorns and varying shades of brown from the Welsummers. I do miss the taste ...

Aww I hadn't seen this post. Poor Willow. BUT those eggs are beauties. Lovely colours. Not that it makes an iota of difference when its in the frying pan
