I can't remember exactly how I stumbled onto this but I found myself on a popular US chicken forum looking at a thread on imported English Orpingtons, mainly photographs of the said birds, I looked down at the page count and was amazed to see it ran to 2180 pages with close to 22000 posts on it! Knowing that there must be more popular birds in the US I had a look at their breed discussion page and found they have a thread on Silkies with 5574 pages and 55000 posts!!!!!, thats more posts than on our entire forum or on all the galleries on the practical poultry forum put together 
I know the population of the USA is a lot higher than the UK but only by a factor of 5, it says chicken keeping must be even more popular over there than I previously thought.
