The Death of Katie Thear

I was very sad to learn that Katie Thear, an author that most poultry keepers and smallholders are familiar with died of cancer on March 18th 2010. I put together a short news item on the poultrykeeper site in the Poultry Keeping News section.

Thanks for posting that Tim,I saw and read it before coming to the forum.Her books have certainly helped me.

Yes . Her book on incubatiom is my most referred to book on poultry , one of few must have books.Ros

Yes, I was very sad indeed. She was such an expert - and a lovely person, always keen to share her knowledge with people.

A couple of her books are a little dated now but still very useful and the information within them is very accurate.
