i finally finished the bantams new run yippeee they can now be in the dry and warmth :D so far they are loving it no more mud and one less run to poo pick each day i'll just gut out the shavings every few weeks or when needed an just add fresh also i put the quails in there but i dont think they are impressed and i want to let them loose in there as i trust my bantams but i think it might be to risky , i wanted to put the favs in there as well but there isnt enough room so i made thier section of run bigger today and they love that .

it was so nice going in there and cuddling them without getting trashed in mud from thier feet but i think 2 of them have gone into shock

u mean the container with the doggy on ,lol my neighbours gave me that with tons of free dog food comes in handy as each run now has its own feed suply so i dont have to walk backwards and forwards between runs :D

Looks good, Karminski. Glad you feel up to building again now :)

Smart job and functional too. Seems like you and the livestock are already enjoying it. Great to see the photos.

well i dont know if it was me or not but it seemed warmer in there this morning ?? one of the reasons i wanted to do it that way sue was to make things easier and to have one less job per day which during the shorter winter days is brill as i havent got to worry about trying to pick out each poo from the mud by the looks of it i might just get away with gutting them out just once a month and replacing the shavings :D

well i can happily report back the roof is waterproof :D :D :D :D we have had snow today as well as loads of rain and then sunshine but it only came in though the sides a little but i can handle that  now i am happy but be even better when i can make the slab path leading up to it ohh and once the big girls runs are done to .

it has to be very the grieve i went though to block the holes in , i used some sealant from the garage but never put on gloves i looked like micheal jackson with the white glove    and it wouldnt come of we had to call on a friend to ask them how to remove it as i was plastered in it and could not touch a thing they suggested using vinegar and it worked a treat but its really dried my skin i wont make that mistake again :-)17 i leanred a lesson .

I use disposable vinyl gloves for fiddly but messy jobs like painting or filling see Lakeland http://www.lakeland.co.uk/4299/Large-Disposable-Vinyl-Gloves which you can just peel off and chuck when dirty. They do keep your hands clean and protect your skin, whilst retaining the sense of touch.

With the coming snow, you just got that job done in time, didn't you Karminski?

WOW!!!! That is brilliant. I so wish I could get some undercover for my run, but it is made of herras fencing and is rather a big enclosure. Might try to do something in the summer, if we get any....we did get the new coop done in time for winter though.

this was done as the roofing sheets were free but i dread to think what it will cost to do the other 2 runs  but it will be worth it , make the runs slighty smaller an spilt the birds up thats what i have and am doing now .
we aint had no snow yet and i dont want any get my new car sat morning so dont want to be getting used to that in the snow :D :D :D and also the new wendy house will turn up in a few weeks time for the big girls or less just need to sort out transport its very clean fully varnish on the outside and been stored in the dry only £100 bargain things are looking good for this year which is making me feel good .

What a fabulous job karminski, it's a palace. Amazed at what can be done and if it wasn't for the railway / rat problem at bottom of the garden, would be tempted to employ you myself :D well done and hope they appreciate it.

:lol  : maybe i could set myself up in a little buisness but it takes the fun out of it if someone else does it for you , i was going to take this weekend easy but i have now got to clear a greenhouse an help move it but now i am getting my car i think i'll use that as an excuse
ohh and as for gloves we have tons in the garage i just didnt think i would need them :-)05
