Hi everyone,

Many thanks for the warm welcome.

It's so interesting to know the types of breeds other people have and what their plans are for the future of their flocks.

Poultry keeping really is a fascinating hobby - the more you learn, the more you realise how little you know!

It's also a warming feeling to know there are people in the same county as me whose eyes won't start to glaze over when I start talking about chickens!

Have to go now and start writing Christmas cards. Cheerio.

So you've noticed it as well, the way none chicken people's eyes glaze over......they are very sad  ,no chooks for company.
Luckily, now no none chicken people speak to me  .

Yes :? You are right ! Non animal people are worse ! I keep trying to get my plans for my new birds into a conversation - but is anyone interested? Are they heck ! Even my children will only listen to fraction of what I want to say - I think they humour me mainly  This is the great thing about the forum - we can rabbit on ( or should I say cluck on  ) to our hearts content and guess what - people don't just listen - they are actually interested - AND ... they answer you! Ha!

LOL,actually Anne,we are all just humouring you :o

I'm actually very lucky, but I do know where you're all coming from.My sister keeps chickens,my mum always asks about them,2 of my closest neighbours are also interested and my bfd and son just have to put up with it LOL :D .
