Hi everybody, I was reading up on plants to put in my coop and I stumbled onto Texas Lilacs they do extremly well in very hot climates such as arizona were im from. It also said that my girls can eat the seeds and wont eat the bush and there dropings wont kill it. So my question is would anyone here have any Texas Lilac seeds they could send me so I can plant some?

It sounds a really interesting plant, Papa Chicken. I'd never heard of it, but found this article http://www.plantanswers.com/vitex.htm
Obviously not the same sort of lilac as is so common here in the UK, as it says in the article, but it seems marvellous for really hot dry conditions. Anything that grows several feet high that needs to be cut down to ground level every year can't be bad. The article also mentions gathering the seeds, so these must have known edible properties as well. Could you buy some plants or seeds inter-State in the USA?

Im going to my local garden center to see if they have or able to order some seeds or plants.
